The above image was painted as a result of a recent trip to The Republic of Moldova.   Carol Mariott, co-founder of Farmers Without Fences, invited me to travel to Moldova to paint murals in orphanages and a handicapped school, that the organization supports by rescueing abandoned and orphaned children.  I was very happy to share my artwork with the children, to bring them joy, and most of all hope.  But, after all of the painting was finished, I realized that I was the one who received the gift, the gift of humility and and deep gratitude for the freedom and many blessings we all enjoy here in America.
